Dr. Guímel Peralta is a Medical Doctor with a specialty in Internal Medicine and a Master's Degree in Healthcare Management. He is from Tegucigalpa, Honduras. He works as a Chief Professor of the Internal Medicine Department at the Faculty of Health Sciences of the Central American Technological University (UNITEC). He is also the Chief Medical Director at the National Institute of Cardiopulmonary Diseases (INCP). Additionally, He works as a physician on night shifts. Dr. Peralta is a member of the Committee on Ethics and Medical Practice of the Honduran College of Physicians. His interests are Health Services Management, Neglected Diseases, Ethical Issues in Research, COVID-19, Diabetes Mellitus, Obesity, and Artificial Intelligence in Medicine. His current projects include conducting academic research in resource-poor settings. Dr. Peralta was a participant during the last GFBR in Cape Town, South Africa, focusing on the Ethics of AI in Global Health Research.
