Dr. Joseph V. Oraño is a public health physician practicing in the Philippines. He obtained his Doctor of Medicine from the University of the Philippines Manila. His work as a consulting researcher in various non-profits involves health policy and systems research, health economics and health financing. At the Alliance for Improving Health Outcomes, his health research priority setting work includes the development of two national health research agendas in the Philippines as well as other institutional research agendas. The organization’s work on health research priority setting leverages on consensus-building approaches, digital technology and evidence-based processes to deliver effective and socially responsible health research agendas.
