Dr. Ivan Sisa, is Professor of Medicine at College of Health Sciences, Universidad San Francisco de Quito (USFQ), Quito, Ecuador. Dr. Sisa received his MD from USFQ. He also completed two Master´s degrees: Public Health from USFQ and Clinical & Translational Research from Tufts University, USA. Dr. Sisa spends his time practicing academic medicine at undergraduate and graduate levels in the areas of Public Health and Epidemiology. His research interests are in the areas of cardiovascular risk, nutritional epidemiology, bibliometric analysis, medical education, and bioethics. Dr. Sisa, served as the Chairperson of the Institutional Review Board at USFQ for four years. In February 2023, Dr. Sisa had the honor of being accepted as fellow of the Ecuadorian Academy of Medicine.
