As the Bioethics Lead at Wellcome, Carleigh is responsible for developing, shaping, and delivering bioethics activities and investments that advance Wellcome’s strategic programmes of research. She provides bioethics advice to colleagues across the organisation and manages a suite of global bioethics resources, platforms and networks. Carleigh has previously led a variety of bioethics research projects, including on health priority-setting for universal health coverage, the equitable inclusion of pregnant participants in research, as well as various projects around epidemic preparedness and response, health systems and policies, health behavior change, and ancillary care. She received her PhD in Health Policy and Bioethics from the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health.
